Pricing

How much do you charge for your specialty cakes?
All of our cakes and dessert orders are priced per person. The final price will depend on the size of your order and the complexity of the design.  Please contact us for a no-obligation price quote.

How much do you charge for your wedding cakes?
Wedding cakes start at $6.00/person. The final price will depend on the size of your cake and the complexity of the design. Please contact us for a no-obligation price quote.

I’m on a budget. Can I afford one of your cakes?
There are ways to lower the amount you spend on a specialty cake. For instance, let’s say you’re having 100 guests, and we’ve priced your cake at $8.00 per person. That means your cake would cost $800. But if we make a slightly smaller cake that feeds 60 people, and give you a “backup” sheet cake on the side to feed 40, your total cost would be $555 ($480 for the specialty cake plus $75 for the sheet cake), a savings to you of $245. As long as you don’t mind having a smaller cake, this is a great way to have a beautiful cake while staying within a budget. And your guests won’t know the difference, since the cakes are cut in the kitchen!

Delivery

Where do you deliver, and do you charge for delivery?
We do offer delivery service pending availability. Our general delivery area is within a 30 mile radius of Yonkers, New York. See our cake delivery map for more details. If your venue is within 10 miles of our location, there is no delivery charge; between 10 and 20 miles, there will be a $10.00 delivery charge; any delivery over 20 miles will be subject to a $20.00 delivery charge. We regret that we will not accept orders where the delivery venue is greater than 30 miles from our location.

Do you ship any of your cake or dessert products?
We take great pride in the final appearance of our products; therefore, we do not ship our products via postal or courier service. We personally deliver all orders to ensure nothing happens during transit – and so that if something does happen during transit, we can fix it!

Do you guarantee that the colors on my cake won’t run or bleed?
The good news is that we’ve never had it happen! However, that doesn’t mean it won’t. Colors cannot be guaranteed. Colors can be unstable and may bleed, run or fade into surrounding colors and frosting, depending on atmospheric conditions — especially humidity. In addition, we are not responsible for the condition of products following satisfactory delivery and set-up at your event. Extremely high temperatures, humidity, as well as numerous other factors may adversely affect the condition of your product. Of course, we will take every step possible to ensure delivery and set-up of a quality product.

Ordering Information

How far in advance should I place my cake order?
We suggest you contact us at least 2 months before your special occasion; 6 months for wedding cakes.

Do you take orders via email?
We don’t object to clients contacting us via email about an order they would like to place; however, the order does not become official until we have received a signed contract and deposit.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes. Once the total cost has been determined and a contract signed, the required deposit is 50% of the total cost. Deposits may be made by cash or check.

Can I make changes to my cake once the order has been placed?
Any changes to your cake order must be made no later than two (2) weeks prior to delivery. After that date, we cannot accept any changes. Please note that changes to your cake order may affect the final price of your cake.

Can I come to your location and order a cake on the spot?
No. We are a specialty cake service, not a bakery. In order to keep our costs as low as possible for our clients, we do not operate a retail location. If you’re interested in seeing samples of our work, the best place to do that would be our Cake Gallery page.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by cash or check.

How do I order your services?
You can order by phone, email, or by using our online contact form.

After I make my deposit, when is my final payment due?
The remaining balance on your order is due two (2) weeks prior to the delivery date. Your order will not be completed if your final payment has not been received by this date.

Cancellations and Refunds

What happens if I need to cancel my order?
If you cancel your order, 25% of your deposit is automatically non-refundable, plus any and all other expenses that have already been incurred on behalf of the finished product.

What happens if Cozy Cub Cakes can’t fulfill my order, or the order arrives damaged beyond repair?
In the event of unavoidable and/or unforeseen circumstances preventing Cozy Cub Cakes from fulfilling the order agreed upon as stated in your contract, you will be entitled to receive a full refund of all monies paid to date.

Flavors, Tastings & Consultations

Do you charge a fee for design consultations?
No, consultations for any service we offer are free of charge.

What do I need to have with me at my consultation?
Your event date, approximate number of guests, the delivery address, and any ideas or details you would like to include in your cake design, such as fabric swatches, invitation, etc.

Do you provide cake samples for tasting?
If you would like to have cake samples as part of your consultation, we will provide three different samples of your choosing (in cupcake form) for a fee of $50.

What cake flavors and fillings do you have?
Please see our Cake Flavors, Fillings and Icings page for our extensive list of available flavors.

Do you do custom cake flavors?
Absolutely! We will do our best to accommodate any request.

Can you make gluten-free cakes?
Yes. We can also make cakes to accommodate some other dietary restrictions as well – just be sure to mention it when ordering.

Can I supply my own cake ideas?
Of course! We want to work with you to incorporate your style and taste into your order, tailoring it to your event. Be sure to visit our Inspiration Cakes page on Pinterest for cake ideas.

I have an allergy to nuts. Can I order one of your cakes?
Unfortunately, no. Our ingredients and machinery may have come into contact with nut, milk and/or wheat products.

Decorations

I have a cake topper for my cake. Should I give it to you or put it on myself?
If you have ornaments, toppers or any other item you would like placed on your cake, we ask that you give them to us at least two (2) weeks prior to your event so that they can be placed securely on your cake. If any party other than a Cozy Cub Cakes employee adds any item(s) to your cake, Cozy Cub Cakes is not responsible for any damages incurred to either the cake or to the item placed on the cake.

I’d like to have fresh flowers on my cake. Is this possible?
If you would like to decorate your cake with fresh flowers, they will need to be provided by your florist. The responsibility of the flower safety and safe food practices will rest with your florist and not with Cozy Cub Cakes. You should obtain a notice of flower safety from your florist for the flowers being used.

Miscellaneous

My catering hall package includes a cake. Should I stick with theirs or get a cake from outside?
Our recommendation is to start by asking the venue how much they are willing to credit you per person if you don’t purchase their cake in your package — then you’ll know how much of a budget you have to work with. Also be sure you taste the actual cake the venue will be serving your guests and get a visual of what their cake will look like before you make your decision.
